Communicate to Educate

This popular course, for Secondary School Teachers across Europe, focuses on Communicative Language Teaching and on exploiting language in content-focused classes at all three CEFR levels. It is for teachers who wish to deliver some or all classroom content through English and make their language classes as communicative as possible. In the mornings, teachers experience a mix of English Language and Culture; afternoon sessions cover CLIL and how to maximise communication in language teaching. To keep the course practical, participants bring access to samples of their own materials as we show how to design, deliver, and develop English-language resources with a strongly communicative focus. Teachers benefit from sharing insights with like-minded professionals from around Europe and, as the course progresses, develop a digital portfolio of ideas and class materials to use in the new school year.
