EU au pairs
are not required to be on duty for more than
35
hours per week excluding evening baby-sitting, which is a maximum of
two nights.
EU au pairs must have two fixed half days
(Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday) when they attend
English classes in the afternoons and socialise in the evenings.

Non-EU au pairs: An au pair
is not required to be on duty
for more than 20 hours per week excluding evening baby-sitting, which
is a maximum of two nights.
Non-EU au pairs attend class every morning for
the duration of their stay.
All au pairs receive the same pocket money but
EU au pairs also receive a foreign student commuter ticket giving
unlimited travel in the greater Dublin area.
Sundays are free (all day plus evening) as well
as Bank Holidays.
